What do you eat?

At gatherings of family and friends do you often come across the dreaded menu problem?  Some of us eat anything, some of us are vegan, some of us are gluten free, some of us are only organic, and so on.  Do you fuss about this, bring your own food, just eat whatever is there, or pick at the offering?  Has this been a source of tension in your circle?  Does climate change, animal ethics, pesticides, and health issues routinely enter into the discussion?  Bring your own approved snacks and share your stories and food fights with the group.
